Web applications
People no longer work from 9 to 5, Monday to Friday. Everyone wants to be able to work from anywhere, at any time, and access the information they need, and companies need flexible and cost-effective solutions to make this happen. A responsive and secure web application, compatible with all browsers, can be an excellent way to meet these needs.
Whether it's a more streamlined version of a corporate system to improve the efficiency of remote or travelling employees, or an interactive tool to enhance brand loyalty with customers, web applications can address a wide range of needs.
What is a web application?
A web app is software that users can use in their web browser, just like mobile apps on their mobile devices.
In recent years, we have witnessed the spread of web applications, the secret of which lies in their ease of use: they can be easily accessed via the internet by anyone - or by users with the right level of authorisation - regardless of their location, usually without the need to install any additional software.
How can we help?
Whether you need a web application for internal use or one that can be resold by our partners, we build our applications quickly and intelligently, keeping the needs of your target audience in mind.
Consultation, assessment of needs
The first step in every project is to discuss with our partner the needs and objectives that justify the development, in order to find out what new application we need to build and who will use it.
Recommendations
We are happy to brainstorm together and suggest possible solutions, such as:
- a hosted web application with a remote, local, synchronous or multi-tenant database back-end,
- a mix of hosted front-end, back-end and partner/customer portal systems,
- a web application that includes a comprehensive CRM back-end,
- a web application that promotes a new website or an existing one,
- a web application containing a payment processing system
- and of course anything else, according to your needs.
Some solutions from our web applications
Our applications include:
- automate day-to-day administration, including data processing, invoicing, reporting, printing and support activities.
- allow users to create new forms and generate customer reports.
- manage daily data streams from multiple databases to ensure that correct and up-to-date customer information is always available.
- include visual instructions - such as a percentage bar to show progress and colours to highlight missing data fields.
- include built-in self-help features to reduce the number of support requests received.
- use different permissions according to individual roles and access rights.
- are suitable for e-commerce, enabling online payments.
- contain comprehensive and visually intuitive reports and graphs.
Responsive web applications
As expected, all web applications we build are "responsive". This means they look great and work perfectly on any size display: desktop, tablet and mobile. This is achieved by adapting menus, controls and other visualisations to the width and height of the device's current screen. This allows us to deliver the perfect user experience regardless of device or display size.
Web application advantages and disadvantages
Advantages of the web application
If you are not sure what business application you need, we will be happy to discuss your ideas and needs and help you choose the optimal solution, which can be a mix of mobile and web applications depending on your requirements.
Technology and planning
As an official Microsoft Partner, we primarily use Microsoft products and tools to develop your web applications.
Our front-end development is done using standard HTML and JavaScript technology that can be interpreted by any browser in the world. These are served with ASP.NET or C# code. For the back-end, we also combine the latest technical platforms, including Microsoft SQL Server or Web Services. We also have many years of experience with JavaScript and AJAX solutions for the interactivity of applications and websites, and we work on MySQL and Oracle systems on demand.
While we place great emphasis on prior needs assessment, we know that it is almost impossible to answer all functionality questions in advance. That's why we keep in close contact with our partners throughout our projects, involving them in the testing process to ensure that the end result is truly useful and tailored to user needs.
Once the web application is ready
We won't leave our partners behind even after the project is finished. We take pride in what we deliver and want our customers to get the most out of the application, so:
- We provide user documentation in plain English and do not bore our partners with useless technical terminology.
- We offer full training for our applications, either at our clients' offices or at our premises in Budapest.
- We provide ongoing support on demand, with flat-rate support contracts and priority availability.
- We also provide hosting services for our applications on request. We've invested heavily in building a secure, scalable and lightning-fast infrastructure that provides adequate protection against potential cybersecurity risks.
